The first thing that we should always remember is that baby being breech is just a variation of normal, and that in many places around the world this means nothing as there are lots of health care providers that are comfortable with assisting a person birthing a breech baby vaginally.
Unfortunately, not all of us have the same luck, so if you're at a place where having a breech baby might change your birthing plan and limit your options, here are my
6 tips to encourage your baby to flip.
1. Visit a Chiropractor - Webster Technique Certified
The Webster Technique is a specific technique some Chiropractors choose to certify with to better support their expecting clients so that they can have a more comfortable, safer and easier birth by optimizing normal physiological function.
2. Hypnosis
Hypnosis is a great tool to use for so many things, and encouraging baby to turn is not the exception.
Hypnosis is a natural state of the mind in which a person more readily accepts suggestions. Being in a hypnotic state is something that happens to all of us every day, it's not something that is done to you.
When you are in hypnosis, you are very relaxed and it is a lot easier to follow what you are told than to go against it; and this applies to you, but it also applies to the baby growing inside you! Which means whatever I tell your baby while you are in hypnosis, your baby will do :)
3. Acupuncture, Acupressure, Moxibustion & Reflexology
There are some energy points that can encourage baby to turn.
Make sure you visit a certified practitioner to help you with either of these techniques. The use of acupressure and reflexology points by someone that is not trained or authorized to do so can result in harm to you or your baby.

4. Spinning Babies
Spinning Babies shows us a group of body activities and techniques to restore the body's balance and make room for the baby. This will help the baby to get in a better position for labour and birth.
Spinning Babies is known for helping breech babies turn into vertex position (head down).
5. Homeopathy
There is a homeopathic remedy (Pulsatilla) widely used to help turn breech babies. It is a natural remedy and it is safe to use in pregnancy.
Pulsatilla won't work if there is a physiological reason why it's not safe for the baby to be in a vertex position.
Consult with a homeopath to get support and more information on the use of homeopathy to help your baby turn.
6. ECV (External Cephalic Version)
An External Cephalic Version is a procedure used to turn a baby from breech to vertex position. During this procedure, the Dr. (usually an OBGYN) attempts to turn the baby with their hands. The procedure can be uncomfortable.
Something really important to keep in mind is that sometimes, even if and when we do ALL THE THINGS to help baby turn, baby doesn't turn; if that happens to you, trust that there is a reason why this is happening. You might not understand it now, but maybe you will later.
And last but not least, from a HypnoBirthing perspective, when a baby is breech, it is because the pregnant person is too tense or stressed. This tension doesn't allow the baby to have enough space to be able to turn. So the best tip I can give you is to relax, trust your body and your baby and talk to your baby, they are listening!
